Give us your 10 second elevator pitch about your brand.
We are an Established brand which has quality at the core of everything we do. We make clothes that Men want to wear time and time again. The idea is to have an abundance of great items that can be mixed and matched with everything in your wardrobe. We nurture each category so there is no weak link. Our collection has a nod to trend but we certainly are not slaves to fashion. To wear us, is to know us, is to love us.
What is your favorite piece in the S17 collection?
I have 2 – Diamond Patchwork tee and Diamond patchwork city stripe short. So understated, beautiful, and uber cool.
How would you describe your customer?
A thinking man’s man. He likes consistency, but also to be excited, and inspired.
Were there any trends that came out of MFW that you were excited about?
I wasn’t excited about just 1 trend. I loved the use of colour In Paul Smith, and Missoni, The uber cool, yet commercial vibe at Ami and Lanvin, Retro collection at Neil Barret was wonderful and the gritty nostalgic collection from Christopher Shannon. I also just love anything Drives van Noten does - ever.
What 3 pieces should every man have in his wardrobe?
Great pair of blue jeans that fit well. These should feel like home whenever you put them on. Soft navy crew sweater. For those days where you can’t think about what to wear, and this will go with pretty much everything. A ¾ length rain mac. Good layering piece and will come in hand for majority of the year.
What are three tips you have for new brands?
Stay focused, remember your identity. Get proper business advice. Have fun.
What do you think is going to be the biggest trend for the season and have you embraced it?
Technical looking coats, vertical stripes, stone/sand and pastel pink colours. We are not a brand that follows trends but we do have pieces that fit in to these looks, yes.
What trend are you happy to see go away?
I have seen so much sports/streetwear over the last few seasons, It’s nice to see Menswear growing up a bit. Soft tailoring, bold shirts, but still laid back cool.
